Brakes
The front brake
pads usually wear out much faster then the rear brake shoes. The
Daihatsu Hijet mini truck is no different than any other pick up truck.
The front and rear brakes should be checked for wear, and replaced if
the pad or shoe material is thin. It is very common for the rear wheel
cylinder cups to wear and leak brake fluid to the rear brake shoes.
Simply lift the corner of one of the rear wheel cylinder dust covers and
see if fluid is visible. A rear wheel cylinder repair kit can solve
this issue. If your Daihatsu Hijet pulls to one side when brakeing, it
is possible that one of the front brake calipers is sticking. This can
be corrected with the installation of a front brake caliper repair kit.
